The responsAbility Micro and SME Finance Fund invests in the global micro, small and medium-sized enterprise (MSME) finance sector. In addition, the Fund can also invest to a limited extent directly in successful or promising small and medium-sized enterprises ("SMEs") and in actors that are involved in the agriculture value chain ("AVCAs"). Most investments take the form of short to medium-term debt securities with fixed or variable coupons, issued by financial service providers to refinance their credit portfolios. The Fund may also hold a limited portion of equity capital, either directly or indirectly.

rAMGF has been active since 2003 and invests in the microfinance sector worldwide. Broadly diversified, it either invests directly in MFIs or indirectly through institutions or investment products, which in turn, invest in MFIs. Most of the fund portfolio comprises variable or fixed-interest debt securities with short to medium terms to maturity. To a limited extent, rAMGF can also make fair trade and private equity investments. Long-term goals are positive value growth and low fluctuations in returns. Swiss franc and Euro investments are hedged against the US dollar.
