Description

Big Issue Invest is the social investment arm of The Big Issue, one of the most well-known social enterprises in the UK. We help prevent poverty and create opportunity for communities by backing sustainable social enterprises, charities and ventures. We provide finance from £50,000 to £1.7 million in the form of loans, participation loans and equity.
Since 2005 BII has invested over £27 million, totalling more than 330 loans to social enterprises, directly benefitting over 1.8 million people and employing 3,200 people. Over 50% of the organisations we finance operate in the 25% most deprived communities in the UK.
