Impact thesis

The Threadneedle UK Social Bond Fund is a mainstream investment fund. It offers investors the opportunity to gain exposure to and provide capital for social developments and projects with positive outcomes for individuals, communities and society, as well as the opportunity to gain a fair, risk-adjusted return. The Fund applies a Social Assessment Methodology developed by Big Issue Invest, working with Threadneedle Investments. This provides the framework under which the social characteristics and intensity (degree of benefit) of an investment is assessed for consideration alongside the yield and liquidity characteristics in building a balanced, diversified portfolio.
