Impact thesis

The JumpFund’s goal is to encourage women to invest in women to help grow women’s business leadership throughout the Southeast. Although women are highly active in the philanthropic world, giving millions of dollars each year, we account for only a small percentage of the world’s investors. Our ability to change the language of the investment world is powerful. We provide training curricula to our investors and engage them as mentors and advisors with our portfolio teams, providing crucial support in addition to the monetary investment.
The JumpFund’s mission is to invest women’s capital in female-led companies with growth potential to generate a strong financial return and elevate the role of women in business. On the local and national level, there is a significant lack of access to capital for women to develop high-growth ventures. This is directly tied to the fact that investors are predominantly men, and women have not been as engaged as early-stage investors. The JumpFund provides a confidence-building support network, and the necessary capital, to encourage more women to launch high-growth business ideas.
