Equitas Ventures is a management company set up in Buenos Aires Argentina to create means and funds oriented toward sustainable and impact investing. Our first fund is Equitas I, set up with local Banco Columbia as lead investor together with Avina. We are currently working on two new funds for the region, one is oriented toward inclusive business models together with Ashoka Argentina, the other aims at becoming the first true green regional fund for remediation and recuperation of ecosystems.

Impact thesis
Our first Fund invested in 4 companies with clear social impact (base of the pyramid health solutions, production of goods in hands of mentally disabled under the poverty line, technologies for base of the pyramid and production and exports of organic fruit produced in cooperatives). Two investments were done in companies with environmental impact: eolic energy in Patagonia and R&D for natural pest control.
