Closed Loop Ventures invests in commercializing innovation across the product lifecycle – from material innovation and design to reuse and recycling.

Currently, cities across North America spend billions of dollars to throw away billions of dollars worth of commodities. Recycling this material instead would reduce greenhouse gas emissions, save taxpayer dollars, improve economic development, and create local jobs. There is a need for technology and business model innovation in the waste space to take advantage of this environmental and economic opportunity.

Closed Loop Ventures invests in companies that are ready to commercialize a business that can turn waste from a cost into profit for the public and private sectors. For every ton of waste diverted from landfill and into recycling streams, on average, cities save $50, create 10 jobs and reduce a ton of greenhouse gas emissions.

As the venture arm of Closed Loop Partners, Closed Loop Ventures utilizes our corporate investor base of 10 of the largest CPG and retail corporations, foundation partnerships, municipal relationships, and university affiliations to create competitive advantages for portfolio companies. Examples of how we intend to leverage our network:

• Deal Sourcing

• Due Diligence

• Sales Opportunities

• Potential Strategic Partnerships

• Acquisition Opportunities

• Exit Opportunities
