Nordic Impact Funds was founded in 2016 with the mission is to improve the quality of life for low-income people in East Africa by capitalizing enterprises with a scalable and economically viable model for impact. The fund is headquartered in Copenhagen, Denmark and has a local office in Nairobi, Kenya. The founder is Lisbeth Stausholm Zacho, an IMF economist, a central banker, a Worldbank consultant and a manager from an international NGO. The other partner is Humphrey Wattanga, a transaction advisor in South and East Africa with a solid track record within private equity and impact investment deals.
