Description

New Forests manages over AU$3.6 billion in private equity-style commingled funds and separate accounts in forestry, land management, and conservation. The company has established three investment strategies that provide clients with diversity and choice around risk-adjusted returns, geography and market exposure:
– Sustainable timberland investment in Australia and New Zealand
– Sustainable plantation timberland management in Southeast Asia; and
– Conservation forestry and ecosystem restoration in the United States.
While distinct strategies, these opportunities are linked through their ability to provide investors with exposure to growing trends in the forestry and conservation investments sector, including the shift to productive plantation timberland management, growing timber demand from emerging markets including Asia, and the long-term need to manage forest resources in a more sustainable manner and price ecosystem services.
