Description

Ecosystem Investment Partners (EIP) was founded in 2006 to generate market-rate returns for investors and to provide a positive and enduring impact on land conservation efforts in the US.
EIP delivers attractive risk-adjusted returns to its investors through the use of market-based Payments for Ecosystem Services (PES) mechanisms that reward landowners for the restoration and protection of critical natural resources. The most established and active PES markets in the US are wetland, stream, and endangered species habitat mitigation banking. Every year, over $3.8 billion is spent to mitigate the unavoidable impacts to these federally protected natural resources. There are now over 1,000 mitigation and conservation banks covering over 1 million acres across the US that provide an economically efficient and ecologically sound mechanism to meet this demand.
