Description
Conservation Forestry (CF) is an investment organization that seeks to align private equity with conservation capital for the purpose of acquiring and managing large forest landscapes. It does so in a manner that seeks to provide a competitive risk adjusted rate of return for our investors while enhancing the conservation values of the forests. Since its founding in 2004, Conservation Forestry has acquired over 735,000 acres of timberlands in the United States. CF has invested or raised committed capital of over $1 billion from institutional investors, family offices, and endowments. CF is a certified B Corp, a signatory to the United Nations Principles for Responsible Investment (PRI), and a member of the Global Impact Investing Network (GIIN). As a direct or indirect result of CF investment transactions, 318,000 acres have been permanently protected through conservation easements, new protected areas, and habitat conservation plans. All of its timberland investments are third-party certified by the Forest Stewardship Council or the Sustainable Forestry Initiative. Conservation Forestry is headquartered in Exeter, New Hampshire.
