Description

Impact First Investments (see http://www.impact1st.com/) has established the first Israeli investment vehicle that leverages local technology and innovation to create global social impact. The vehicle will aggregate investment and philanthropic capital from Israel and abroad to make early stage and follow on investments in globally scalable for profit social enterprises that provide technological solutions to global social, medical, agricultural, and environmental challenges.
As the only available financing for socially driven Israeli start-ups, the vehicle invests with the understanding that most of its portfolio companies would not be created, stabilized, or reach their intended markets without its financing and contribution.
To achieve the expected social and financial returns, its management team will leverage venture and debt capital, its vast experience in managing both financial-first and impact-first investments, recognized social and environmental performance metrics (will be GIIRS rated), its international network of industry experts, and the Israeli government’s proactive policy and support for technology oriented companies and projects.
